Yet feasts on those who lose the race.
She whispers kindness, sows the seed,
Yet drinks from wounds that others bleed.
A hollow heart, a starving tongue,
That feeds on trust and calls it love.
She claims to build, she claims to guide,
Yet leaves no home where souls can hide.
A preacher’s hymn, a serpent’s hiss,
Each promise fades, consumed by mist.
The wind don’t lie, the bones don’t cheat,
The sky sees all beneath its feet.
For those who take but never give,
Shall not be mourned where vultures live.
She sings the song, she plays the part—
But leaves the world with hollowed hearts.
